The predominance of pastoral rather than tillage farming has enabled to retain many well preserved passage graves dating from pre-historic times.

Recalling the romance of turn-of-the-century elegance, George W. Vanderbilt's Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina offers a glimpse of a bygone era. The 250-room French Renaissance-style chateaux, first opened in 1895, still houses original furnishings and art objects collected by Mr. Vanderbilt during his lifetime.

Directly below is the seven-pointed Commonwealth Star. The right side of the flag depicts the Southern Cross, a constellation seen in Australia’s night sky.
