Montenegro is a country located in Southeastern Europe. Its capital and largest city is Podgorica. From 1918, it was a part of Yugoslavia. On the basis of a referendum held on 21 May 2006, Montenegro declared independence on 3 June of that year. The results of the 2011 census show that Montenegro has 620,029 citizens. Terschelling is a municipality and an island in the northern Netherlands, one of the West Frisian Islands. Waddenislanders are known for their resourcefulness in using anything and everything that washes ashore. With few trees to use for timber, most of the farms and barns are built with masts recovered from shipwrecks. The islands are surrounded by shipwrecks, and even today many containers wash ashore that are blown off the decks of cargo ships in the North Sea. ( source ) The first Postcrossing stamp ! Gerald sent me a Thank You Card for the Andorra card I sent him on my vacation. Kiel is the capital and most populous city in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein, with a population of 238,049 (2010). Due to its geographic location in the north of Germany, Kiel has become one of the major maritime centres of Germany. The city is known for a variety of international sailing events, including the annual Kiel Week, which is the biggest sailing event in the world.
