The Amaharashi coast, in the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park, offers scenes of white sand beaches and pine forests, with the Tateyama mountains rising up across Toyama bay. Throughout the year the view changes, and its loveliness is often breathtaking. Otomo no Yakamochi, one of the poets of the Manyoshu, often wrote of the beauty of Amaharashi. (source)
