#288 USA
This “evacuation” tag and American flag of Bunzo Nagato represent the ironic situation of many Japanese Americans during World War II. While the Nagato family was incarcerated in Poston concentration camp, Bunzo’s oldest son Fumitake “Jimmy” Nagato was serving in the United States Army in France, where he was killed in action. Nunzo Nagato received this flag for use at his son’s funeral. (from the card)
Thank you Laura!
