A great card from Postcrossing meeting in Dublin! Galway Bay is a large bay on the west coast of Ireland, between County Galway and the County Clare. It is about 50 km long and from 10 km to 30 km in breadth. Galway Bay is famous for its unique traditional sailing craft, the Galway Hooker. ( source ) Thank you all!

Ireland is the third-largest island in Europe and the twentieth-largest island in the world. The island is divided between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom. The population of Ireland is approximately 6.2 million people. The island has lush vegetation, a product of its mild but changeable oceanic climate, which avoids extremes in temperature. Thick woodlands covered the island until the 17th century. Today, it is the most deforested area in Europe. There are twenty-six extant mammal species native to Ireland. Irish culture has had a significant influence on other cultures, particularly in the fields of literature and, to a lesser degree, science and education. A strong Irish culture exists, as expressed for example through Gaelic games, Irish music and the Irish language, alongside a common Western culture, such as contemporary music and drama, and sports such as soccer, rugby and golf, and the English language. County Tyrone is one of six counties that form Northern Ireland, situated in the north of the island of Ireland. Adjoined to the south-west shore of Lough Neagh, the county covers an area of 3,155 km², with a population of approximately 166,516, with its county town being Omagh. It is also one of the thirty-two counties of Ireland, lying within the historical province of Ulster. Tyrone is the 7th largest of Ireland’s 32 counties in area and eighth largest in terms of population. Dublin is the primate and capital city of Ireland. It is officially known in Irish as Baile Átha Cliath or Áth Cliath . The English name comes from the Irish Dubh Linn meaning "black pool". It is located near the midpoint of Ireland's east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey and at the centre of the Dublin Region. Originally founded as a Viking settlement, it evolved into the Kingdom of Dublin and became the island's primary city following the Norman invasion. Today, it is ranked 23rd in the Global Financial Centres Index, has one of the fastest growing populations of any European capital city, and is listed by the GaWC as a global city with a ranking of Alpha, placing Dublin among the top 25 cities in the world. Dublin is a historical and contemporary cultural centre for the island of Ireland as well as a modern centre of education, the arts, administrative function, economy and industry. The national flag of Ireland is a vertical tricolour of green, white, and orange. Officially the flag has no meaning in the Irish Constitution, but a common interpretation is that the green represents the Irish nationalist tradition of Ireland and the orange represents the Orange tradition in Ireland, with white representing peace between them. The white in the centre would thus signify a lasting truce between the 'Green' and the 'Orange'. ( via Wikipedia ) Thank you Brian!

County Meath is one of the twenty-six counties of the Republic of Ireland, and also one of the thirty-two counties of Ireland. It was named after the historic kingdom and province of Mide (meaning "middle"), and is today also known by the nickname "The Royal County" due to its history as seat of the ancient High Kings of Ireland.
